shares the philosophy of Kintsugi 金継ぎ. Kintsugi being a process in which broken or shattered ceramic ware is pieced together through the use of lacquer and gold or silver powder. Initially broken ceramic ware or pottery takes on a new identity through this artistic process where flaws are celebrated instead of being hidden.

Cracks are carefully coated with a mixture of lacquer and gold or silver powder and

set to dry for several days before being sanded down. The uniqueness of the end result tells the story and history of the piece, much like the story of an individual. Resilience and the indelible spirit of one's authenticity

through Kintsugi.
